COMPLETE NAKEDNESS! ALL THREE BOOKS IN ONE VOLUME!
'Pride and Nakedness' is a contemporary re-telling of the the classic novel, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
Petal Nuckeby is a talkative, witty, charmer; a middle child in the rather extensive Nuckeby clan, a family of nudists who live and work in a clothing optional resort by the sea. Life has been hard for them, slogging away in the low-paying family restaurant business all their lives, so when the entire family is handed the opportunity to move from their rundown, shack on the shore into an expensive, high class neighborhood with the wealthy Peter Bingley living alongside, they leap at the chance.
Before long, Petal’s eternally sweet and stunningly beautiful sister, Feather, is dating Peter and trying to navigate the difficult waters of Peter’s best friend, William, and the rocky shoals of his sisters, Caroline, and the other one who’s name no one ever remembers.
William hates Petal and the rest of the Nuckeby’s almost as violently as Peter’s sisters do. Or maybe ‘hate’ is too strong a word for what William feels for Feather’s beloved sister. Maybe love is more accurate. Or maybe it is hate. Curiosity? Intrigue? Lust? Yeah, lust. Definitely lust. Lust and confusion.
What William feels about the pretty, sharp-witted Petal is lust and confusion. Passionate, intense, lust and confusion, because she’s beautiful, aggravating, smarter than any woman he’s ever met, and seems to legitimately have no interest in his many riches.
A family comedy of manners, social mores, nakedness and pride, prejudice and love. The complete three part trilogy re-telling the brilliant Jane Austen’s greatest work, 'Pride and Nakedness' is 'Pride and Prejudice' for a contemporary audience, and it is touching, sexy and hilarious.

It you're expecting some sort of x-rated version of Austen's classic novel, I'm afraid you may be disappointed. R-rated? Yes, but no more so than other romance fiction I've read lately.WHat you will find is a pretty faithful retelling of Austen's tale, set in modern times. No mean feat, that, since Pride and Prejudice is in some respects (many, I think, but that's something to be debated elsewhere) a Novel of Manners. Translating her 19th century culture clash into one that works in the 21st century is not the simplest thing to do, but Charles Austen, I think, manages it very well.
Whether or not you agree, of course, is something you'll have to decide. But if you, like me, are interested in tales retold to see if the core of the tale, the heart of it, stands up in a new setting or can only survive in the original, you'll want to give Pride and Nakedness a read.

Pride and Nakedness Nekkid Bottoms edition by Charles Austen Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I really liked it. What I liked far outweighs the technicalities, so I will get the stuff out of the way that could be improved first There are a couple of holes in the trilogy that are small like calling a Persian woman's accent Eastern European. The intimate scenes were kind of one sided and unvaried in type. The editing has glitches in books 2 and 3. HOWEVER- with all that said It is a clever, well spun tale. There are several laugh out loud moments. I loved it so much I pretty much read the whole thing in 24 hours. With it's flaws, I still highly recommend it.
What's up with the ending??
I would have given this at least 4 stars until the last paragraph or so.
